It’s been written that cleanliness is next to godliness. Although, that’s not actually in the Bible, I tell it to my children regularly. Especially at times when I find clothes in the floor, toothpaste on the counters, random globs of goo in the carpet or any other mess that finds itself in my house. Life is messy; I know. There are five of us living in our home and we genuinely LIVE in it. But I’ve found that I’m happier and feel more in control of my surroundings if they are clean and organized.

Having a place for everything and everything having its place is especially important. If you can’t find simple things you need quickly like a file, ink pen or even hair pin, you lose time and energy looking frustration ensues. When everything has a place and you know where it’s at, there’s a feeling of relief.
