• As promised, here is a good cleaning tip for glass topped stoves.

If your glass cooktop is looking extra rough and is discolored and coated with grease and grime because of a little negligence and a little confusion on what to do, it’s time to bring out the big guns.

    1. First, cover the cooled cooktop with a hot, damp towel and let it soak to loosen up the hardened foods.
    2. Next, use a scraper or new, sharp razor blade held at a 45° angle. Be very careful to scrape off the burned food. Don’t worry, the glass on these cooktops is durable and can handle this treatment. You may have to repeat the hot towel and razor blade steps several times if the baked on food is especially bad or has been there long.
    3. Finally, use a non-abrasive cleaner like Bar Keeper’s Friend to buff and polish.  Be sure to rinse.  You can finish off with a glass clean to really make it shine.
