  • These are frequently asked questions we get asked before we meet our clients. If you have a question that you don't see addressed below, don't hesitate to call or use the Contact Form to ask your specific question.

  • Do you charge by the hour?
    No, we are paid by the job.  Price is based on how many ladies will be needed and how long the estimated time will be.

    Do you only clean houses?
    No, we clean offices and some restaurants.  We also clean up before/after parties, moving and new construction.

    Do you clean on holidays?
    No, our holidays are New Year’s, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  If your cleaning falls on one of these days, we will still fit you in on another day very close to that holiday. We will notify you of the change approximately 2 weeks in advance.

    What hours do you clean?
    Our day crew works Monday thru Friday 8-2:30 cleaning residential and commercial properties. Our night crew works Monday thru Friday 4-10 cleaning only commercial properties.

    How long have you been in business?
    Laura Hooks founded Buckets and Belles Cleaning Co. in July 2014.

  • Could you provide references?
    Yes, we currently have about 200 customers. Any of which would be happy to provide one.

    Do you do laundry or dishes?
    No, unfortunately time will not allow.

    Do you pet sit?
    No, but if your pet is friendly towards us, we don’t mind it being in the house while we clean.

    Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
    Yes, fully.

    Do you clean out fridges or ovens?
    We can clean the inside of appliances for an additional charge of $50 and at least 2 weeks notice.

    Do you expect tips?
    No, but our ladies certainly appreciate them.

  • Our Agreement

    Cleaning Times: We do our best to be prompt and meet the cleaning time indicated, but traffic and other clients may affect our schedule. If your scheduled cleaner is going to be more than 15 minutes late, we will contact you. If no arrival time is indicated, then the cleaning will be completed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Our cleaners appreciate your flexibility. All first locations are an 8 am arrival time; with an approximate arrival time of 10-11 am for our second locations. Our cleaners appreciate your flexibility. When possible, please allow for an open time frame rather than an exact arrival time.
    Payment Policy: We do require a deposit for 1st time cleanings and deep cleanings. Payment is scheduled to come automatically out of a checking or saving account or debit/credit card authorization with a 3.95% card fee.  For the safety of your payment and our technicians we no longer can accept cash or check payment.
    Late Fee: Overdue payments are subject to a late fee of $25.00. Buckets & Belles Cleaning Co reserves all rights available under Alabama law to collect any amounts due and owing pursuant to this agreement.
    Late Cancellation/No Show Fees: If you wish to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, at least 48 business hours' notice is required. We must adhere strictly to this policy in order to prevent lost wages for your cleaner.
    If a cleaning appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, or if the cleaner is unable to enter the house, a cancellation fee of 50% of that cleaning's cost will be charged.
    If a cleaning is rescheduled by the client less than 48 hours in advance, rather than cancelled, a fee of $25.00 will be charged.
    If you cancel/reschedule more than three times in a 12 month period, we reserve the right to give your cleaning spot on our schedule to another client.
    On the rare occasion that Buckets & Belles Cleaning Co must cancel a scheduled cleaning appointment with less than a 48 hour notice, and has no available openings for another cleaning appointment within the next five business days, the next cleaning will be provided at half price.
    On the rare occasion that Buckets & Belles Cleaning Co must reschedule an appointment with less than a 48 hours advance notice, a $25.00 credit will be offered on the next cleaning. If our offer to reschedule is refused by the client for any reason, no credit will be granted.
    Assigned Cleaner: Your assigned cleaner will be your default cleaner with the exception of illness, vacation, personal emergency, or an ongoing schedule change. In the event that your default cleaner has an ongoing schedule change or no longer works here, she will be replaced with another trained cleaner who will have your customized Home Checklist.
    Loss or Breakage: Buckets & Belles Cleaning Co is licensed, bonded and insured well beyond the minimum amounts purchased by many housecleaning companies. Ask our office for details on insurance limits.
